About This Position
Position Summary
The Grounds, Custodial, and Facilities Technician supports the daily maintenance, safety, and appearance of the school’s campus. This role is responsible for maintaining outdoor spaces, assisting with general facilities maintenance, and supporting campus operations to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesGrounds MaintenanceMaintain campus grounds, including lawns, gardens, walkways, and outdoor gathering areas.
Perform seasonal grounds work such as planting, mulching, leaf removal, and snow removal.
Operate landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other tools.
Monitor and maintain irrigation systems and outdoor lighting.
Ensure outdoor spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained for daily school use and special events.
Perform general building maintenance and minor repairs including painting, basic carpentry, and light mechanical work.
Assist with preventative maintenance tasks across campus facilities.
Support routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
Assist with furniture movement, classroom setups, and event preparation.
Respond to facilities requests submitted by faculty and staff in a timely and professional manner.
Support campus safety by maintaining clear walkways, entrances, and emergency access areas.
Assist with waste management and recycling systems across campus.
Assist with campus setup and breakdown for school events, meetings, and special programs.
Work collaboratively with the facilities team to support school operations throughout the academic year.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in groundskeeping, facilities maintenance, or building operations preferred.
Ability to safely operate landscaping and maintenance equipment.
Basic knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe environment.

This position requires both indoor and outdoor work and will require early morning, evening, or weekend hours to support campus operations and school events.
