About This Position
SUMMARY: The delivery driver will be responsible for transporting window orders from our plant to customers, ensuring safe and timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service, a clean driving record, and the ability to handle delicate and large items.
Requirements:DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Safely load windows and related products onto the delivery vehicle and unload them at customer locations.
· Follow planned delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
· Interact professionally with customers, ensuring a positive experience and addressing any delivery-related inquiries or issues.
· Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks, report any issues to the management.
· Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic laws and company policies, ensuring the safe handling and transport of windows.
· Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, customer signatures, and any special delivery instructions.
· Verify delivery contents against shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Previous delivery or commercial driving experience preferred, especially handling large or fragile items
· Valid driver’s license with appropriate classification (CDL preferred/required as applicable) and clean driving record
· Strong time management and organizational skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and respond to changing conditions
· Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection and maintenance
Work Environment:
· Ability to lift, carry and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
· Ability to handle and transport large, fragile items with care.
· Driving in various weather conditions.
· Handling deliveries in different environments, including residential, commercial, and industrial areas.
Physical Demands (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50–75 pounds on a regular basis
· Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
· Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
· Ability to enter and exit delivery vehicles multiple times throughout the day
· Ability to secure loads using straps and equipment
· Manual dexterity to handle tools, paperwork, and delivery equipment
· Ability to handle large, bulky, and fragile materials safely
· Visual ability to operate a vehicle and inspect materials
