Position Overview
The Utility Laborer supports the safe and efficient operation of the aggregate plant by performing general labor, maintenance support, and housekeeping activities. This role assists with equipment operation, maintenance tasks, and cleanup efforts to ensure a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform general housekeeping and cleanup activities throughout the plant.
- Operate equipment such as skid steers, front-end loaders, forklifts, and dump trucks as assigned.
- Assist maintenance personnel with routine maintenance and basic equipment servicing.
- Utilize hand and power tools to support plant maintenance and cleanup tasks.
- Complete safety checklists, area audits, and required plant documentation.
- Follow all company, plant, and MSHA safety policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Abilities
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
- Attention to detail and commitment to working safely and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment or working in an industrial, construction, or mining environment preferred but not required.
