About This Position
Under general supervision, responsible for performing highly diversified duties to set-up, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and productive maintenance systems and processes. The Maintenance Tech is expected to inspire and lead their teams by setting the example and driving the 5 C’s (Care, Commit, Connect, Communicate, & Celebrate)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery (e.g., conveyors, robotic arms).
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, sensors, VFDs, and control panels.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues involving hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, and conveyors.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify and mitigate potential failures.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and company policies.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with all departments.
- Displays a positive attitude towards safety, works safely and follows all the Company's safety policies and procedures.
- Reports all unsafe and unhealthy conditions or acts to management immediately.
- Reports injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses and property damage immediately to your Supervisor.
- Complies with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and the Michigan Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Ensures all employees and visitors have a safe environment in that safety and housekeeping standards are maintained; and all hazards, unsafe actions, or unsafe conditions have been identified, corrected, and/or eliminated.
- Responds to and investigates all reports of injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses and property damage immediately.
- Report on all issues that cause any downtime to operations to your supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical engineering preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial or automotive manufacturing maintenance.
- Experience with automated manufacturing equipment and robotics (e.g., FANUC, ABB) is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drives.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems (480V a PLUS but not a requirement, 3-phase, PLCs, sensors, HMIs).
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and basic computer skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- A willingness to work shifts, weekends, and be on-call if required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Work performed in an office and manufacturing plant environments. Normal mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer. Continuously walks and stands. Frequently performs fine finger movements, grips/grasps, push/pulls, bends/stops, and lifts and carries parts up to thirty (30) lbs. Must be available to work any shift as well as weekends and holidays as needed.
