Core4ce is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of a modern, integrated data, application, and AI/ML ecosystem supporting the Naval Special Warfare Center. This role blends hands-on engineering expertise with strategic project leadership to drive the delivery of high-impact solutions that advance Naval Special Warfare Command’s AI capabilities and data modernization efforts. In this position, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and collaborate closely with Product Owners and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality systems on accelerated timelines. As a strategic leader, you will translate organizational objectives into actionable engineering roadmaps while upholding technical excellence. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of defense technology and directly enhance mission effectiveness and operational capability. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Leadership: Partner with government personnel and stakeholders to define and communicate the team's technical roadmap and vision, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives Technical Guidance: Provide expert technical direction and hands-on leadership when necessary to overcome complex challenges Engineering Execution: Oversee day-to-day execution of the engineering roadmap, managing projects from conception through deployment Architecture & Design: Contribute to the design and evolution of technical architectures, capacity planning, and tooling strategies; prioritize technical challenges and resource allocation Technical Architecture: Lead and drive technical architecture discussions, ensuring solutions meet performance, security, and scalability requirements Documentation: Establish and maintain comprehensive technical documentation aligned with industry best practices Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and developer infrastructure trends to drive continuous improvement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field 10+ years of hands-on software development experience 10+ years in engineering management roles within Scrum-based environments Technical Expertise: Proven experience optimizing and scaling engineering teams Strong background in systems architecture, networking, and troubleshooting Proficiency in code review and maintaining high code quality standards Extensive experience with full developer tool ecosystem: CI/CD technologies, automation pipelines, and automated testing frameworks Familiarity with cloud infrastructure deployment (build, validate, release, operate) Professional Skills: Outstanding communication abilities, including visual presentation of complex technical data to both technical and non-technical audiences Proficient technical writing skills with ability to create clear, comprehensive documentation Collaborative leadership style with strong stakeholder management capabilities Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret security clearance requiredWhy Work for Us?
