Compensation: Very competitive wages and benefits — let's talk!About the RoleMacQuarries Pharmasave Group is 16 stores strong across Mainland Nova Scotia. We are currently looking for an Associate Buyer to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities

• The associate buyer must work closely with the Director or Merchandising to ensure the overall success of the stores.
• This position demands a focus on merchandising, ensuring there is adequate presentation of product, well displayed and available for optimal buying advantage and consumer demands.
• You must fully understand margins ensuring we are in a competitive price position while still meeting the needs of the business
• Must ensure there are minimal un-addressed shelf vacancies and that the product is purchased and stocked properly to prevent this while adhering as closely as possible to all numerical/financial formulas and targets
• The expectations of this role will also be to train, coach and guide employees in merchandising activities

Qualifications

• Must be knowledgeable about buying trends and anticipating customer’s needs.
• Excel, Office and BIS reporting systems are an asset.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
