About This Position
Ardent Counseling Center is seeking a Part Time TMS Treater to join our Oakbrook office. This role is ideal for a clinically focused professional who enjoys working closely with patients and values precision, safety, and consistency in care delivery.
You will be responsible for administering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation to patients diagnosed primarily with Major Depressive Disorder and other FDA cleared indications. Treatments are delivered in our Oakbrook location in a structured outpatient setting. This is not a remote position.
This role is patient facing and procedural. It requires attention to detail, comfort with repetitive technical processes, and the ability to build rapport with patients who may be struggling with severe or treatment resistant depression.
Core Responsibilities
You will prepare patients for treatment sessions, position the TMS coil accurately according to established motor threshold measurements, and monitor patients throughout each session. You will document treatment parameters and patient response in the EMR in real time. You will also communicate with the supervising psychiatric provider regarding clinical concerns, side effects, or symptom changes.
You will ensure adherence to safety protocols, manufacturer guidelines, and internal policies. Equipment calibration checks and daily system readiness verification are part of the routine. This is a hands on clinical operations role. Accuracy and consistency are essential, as clinical outcomes depend on precise and repeated treatment delivery.
Qualifications
Candidates may be a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Medical Assistant, or other clinically trained professional with direct patient care experience. Behavioral health experience is strongly preferred. Experience with TMS is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Strong documentation skills are required. Comfort working within an electronic medical record is essential. The ability to follow structured clinical protocols without deviation is critical.
Schedule
This is a part time position focused on late afternoon and evening hours. Ideal availability is between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM on weekdays. Consistency in scheduling is important, as TMS treatment requires patients to attend sessions five days per week during the acute phase.
This schedule is well suited for professionals seeking supplemental hours or those who prefer later clinical shifts. Treatment sessions are conducted in person at our Oakbrook location.
About Ardent
Ardent Counseling Center is a multi state behavioral health organization offering psychiatric medication management, psychotherapy, and advanced interventional treatments including TMS and Spravato. Our Oakbrook site serves a diverse adult population and works closely with referring providers across the region.
If you value structured clinical processes, measurable outcomes, and being part of a growing interventional psychiatry program, we encourage you to apply.
