Purpose of the Position
Attracts, evaluates, and refers candidates for open positions through recruiting website, employee referrals, on-site recruiting, search firms, and other sourcing methods. Develops job advertisements and screens resumes/applications. Contacts candidates to ascertain fit, and schedules interviews. May extend offers and negotiate compensation. Initiates onboarding plan for new hires. Ensures assigned positions are filled efficiently and effectively. Will facilitate orientation for new employees and may perform exit interviews for employees leaving the organization. Incumbent will be assigned other HR Generalist tasks in support of the team. Incumbent’s work is generally independent and collaborative in nature, while contributing to moderately complex aspects of a project.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition: Identify and engage with potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and industry-specific platforms.
- Sourcing: Proactively source candidates by leveraging advanced search techniques, including Boolean searches, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other professional networks. May attend career fairs and networking events to build a robust pipeline of qualified candidates. Will lead virtual hiring events when needed.
- Screening and Interviewing: Conduct initial screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate candidates’ qualifications, experience, and cultural fit. Ensures proper interviewing panel and plan is established for each position being recruited.
- Collaboration: Work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance on recruitment strategies.
- Job Postings: Create and manage job postings, ensuring they are compelling and accurately reflect the requirements of the role.
- Candidate Experience: Maintain a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, providing timely updates and feedback.
- Networking: Build and maintain a network of industry professionals to stay informed about trends and potential candidates.
- Reporting: Track and report on recruitment metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Onboarding: Will manage the post-offer acceptance processes including background and drug screening, arranging equipment to be deployed for remote staff and facilitating orientation scheduling.
- HR Support: Supports the HR team with non-recruiting work. Training is provided. The Company expects a willingness and ability to learn new areas. This is not a strictly recruiting role, although that is the area where most experience and expertise is required.
Education and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university with a major in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or related discipline. Plus:
- 4+ years of experience performing full cycle recruiting for a wide range of roles including one or more of the following: marketing, finance, call center staff, technology, and product or data engineering.
- Proficient in use of various recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter; developing and using Boolean Logic and Generative AI; and knowledgeable in how to leverage social media platforms.
- Experience overseeing external agencies who may be involved in supporting hires for specialized roles.
- A minimum of a year of general HR experience or completion of a SHRM Certification.
- This position is for a Hybrid-KS location. Our KS Campus is in Johnson County, Kansas. Selected candidate will be expected to be in office on a routine basis for three (3) days per week. During onboarding activities for the selected candidate, as well as future Kansas based hires, the in-office hours may flex.
- Applicants for this position must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Habemco (e.g., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (STEM/OPT), TN visa.)
- All offers are contingent upon signing a confidentiality agreement and satisfactory completion of drug screening and background checks. Employer observes federal standards for controlled substances.
Preferred:
- Three or more years of experience in supporting other areas of HR, or formal education in HR management.
- Continued education in recruiting and industry certifications offered by Advanced Internet Recruitment Strategies (AIRS).
- Certified Professional Recruiter Certification (PRC) through AIRS.
- Certificate in AI for Modern Sourcing & Recruiting (CASR) through AIRS.
- Familiarity with Paycom Talent Acquisition and Position Management modules.
- Spanish speaking skills are a plus.
