About the Role:
The Entry Level Manufacturing position is designed to introduce candidates to the foundational processes and operations within a manufacturing environment. The primary goal of this role is to support production activities by performing assigned tasks efficiently and accurately, ensuring that products meet quality standards. This position serves as a critical starting point for individuals seeking to build a career in manufacturing, offering hands-on experience with machinery, other equipment and safety protocols. Employees in this role will collaborate closely with team members and supervisors to maintain smooth workflow and contribute to meeting production targets. Ultimately, the role aims to develop the candidate’s technical skills and understanding of manufacturing operations, preparing them for advancement within the industry.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Lifting Requirements will vary: If the task you are performing seems to heavy seek help or use proper lifting equipment such as hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including evenings or weekends if required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with basic machinery or tools used in manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry or equipment monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Assist probationary & temporary employees with their blending operation duties
- Review the mix sheet or production blend form with Lead Man and have paperwork signed off
- Review the mix sheets and prepare material and color for the next job
- Work with color prep to minimize over-blends or short orders
- Inspect and check off each material as mixer is being loaded
- Follow all mixing instructions including: oil sample, prebatch, and lot sheets.
- Follow necessary steps if contaminated material is detected.
- Clean material hoppers as required
- Assist Operators with material and color changes
- Follow Safety and Conduct rules at all times
- Keep work area clean at all times
- Follow all established procedures, SOP’s, and Work Instructions
- Must wear appropriate PPE and uniform while in the production area
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to comply with safety and quality standards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

The required skills such as following instructions, teamwork, and physical stamina are essential for daily tasks like operating machinery and maintaining production flow. Attention to detail ensures that products meet quality standards and that safety protocols are strictly followed. Communication skills are used to report issues and collaborate effectively with supervisors and colleagues. Preferred skills like prior manufacturing experience and basic computer literacy enhance efficiency and adaptability in handling equipment and documentation. Together, these skills enable the employee to contribute positively to the manufacturing process while developing professionally within the industry.
