Position Summary
Pierpoint Management is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Director of Sales to lead hotel sales and catering/event initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hospitality sales experience—particularly in hotel, catering, and event coordination. Hilton experience is a plus. This role focuses on developing business through strategic outreach, client engagement, and maximizing revenue opportunities across extended-stay segments, meetings, and banquets.
Sales & Business Development
- Prospect and secure new business for extended-stay opportunities, banquet events, meetings, and group bookings.
- Conduct 3–4 outside sales calls per week; primary focus will be inside sales prospecting using Hilton sales systems and intelligence reports.
- Build relationships through email and phone outreach.
- Target key business sectors as determined by General Manager.
Event & Group Coordination
- Collaborate with catering vendors and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Work closely with clients to understand event requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Monitor event performance and client satisfaction to encourage repeat business.
- Ensure completion of BEO, paperwork and billing in a timely manner.
Revenue Management
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals as defined by General Manager.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to optimize pricing and packages.
- Prepare forecasts, reports, and performance metrics for management review.
Marketing & Promotion
- Partner with marketing to promote hotel services through campaigns, social media, and community outreach.
- Represent the hotel at networking events and industry functions.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with front office, leadership, and F&B teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provide training and support to staff on sales techniques and customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.
- Hotel sales or catering/event experience.
- Hilton experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical & Schedule Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by events.
- Ability to travel locally for client meetings and networking events.
