Job Description
Summary: This position offers a diverse range of essential duties for the successful business workings of Synergy Feeds. The qualified applicant will be entrusted to manage the flow of materials from start to finish, optimize inventory and coordinate with vendors. This position will also include a variety of Quality Assurance responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Supports Synergy Feed’s stated Vision, Mission, and Business Values.
- Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.
- Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.
- Understands customers, their needs and buying habits.
- Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
- Responsible for purchasing ingredients and maintaining inventory.
- Validates and records inventory substitutions and adjustments.
- Responsible for managing accuracy of all ingredient receipts.
- Verifies and posts details of business transactions, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
- Aids in assigned accounting and office functions of Synergy Feeds.
- Responsible for updating customer diet formula changes as needed.
- Implements and assists with Synergy Feeds food safety plan and FSMA requirements.
- Understand the inter-workings of the office functions and milling capabilities.
- Serve as backup support for administrative functions.
- Must understand and be capable of performing month and year-end inventory and extension.
- Keeps informed of and follows approved safety practices in the performance of job responsibilities.
- Performs additional tasks that may be required.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university preferred; or 5 years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and account summaries. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence with accurate grammar and wording. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and vendors regarding Synergy stock inventories and other inquisitions.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Valid Driver’s License
Other Skills and Abilities
Able to operate and display proficiency in a PC-based computer system, knowledge of accounting software, and the Microsoft Office products, Word and Excel.
