Metro is looking for dependable, curious people who want to learn residential plumbing—and can talk to a homeowner without opening with, “Welp. That’s bad.”

You’ll spend most of your training in the field alongside experienced technicians, learning to:

• Diagnose residential plumbing problems using modern tools and technology.
• Explain what’s wrong without making the homeowner wish they’d called their cousin.
• Present repair and replacement options, discuss pricing, and learn professional sales conversations.
• Build trust, solve problems, and help turn “THE TOILET IS DOING SOMETHING WEIRD” into a better afternoon.

Yes, sales and customer communication are a big part of this job. You’ll need to get comfortable explaining recommendations and helping customers make informed decisions. The toilet won’t be your only conversation partner.

• 16 weeks of paid training, mostly field ride-alongs with limited classroom instruction.
• A structured residential service program, rather than construction plumbing or a traditional apprenticeship.
• Successful participants transition into a Plumbing Service Technician role at Metro.
• Classes start approximately every 16 weeks; applicants may be considered for the next class or future openings.
