PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Portfolio Manager is responsible for the maintenance, monitoring and credit risk management of assigned commercial loan portfolios. Active credit monitoring and management includes the request of financial information, preparation of analysis and the presentation of approvals for loan renewals, reviews, and new requests among other financial risk management information. The position reports the identification of and areas of heightened risk and concern, proper loan risk grading with recommendations to credit administration. The Portfolio Manager position contributes and provides input on loan structure and decisions with an evaluation of credit risk and other key factors that supports the commercial credit department with sound recommendations that add value to the bank’s risk mitigation objectives.
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 annually
SCHEDULE: Full-time; Monday – Saturday, varying; 37.5-hour work week
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, economics, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of five years of commercial lending experience or related. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain and manage assigned commercial loan portfolio(s) with respect to the preparation of loan documentation inclusive of renewals, reviews, and new loan requests from within the assigned portfolio.Accurately maintain tracking system with respect to updated financial information, reviews, and loan covenant testing.Perform detailed financial analysis and summary of business entities and interpret financial information based upon supplied financial statements, tax returns and company prepared documents.Actively manage portfolio to maintain credit quality standards and identify areas of concern. Accurately maintain loan risk ratings for loans within the assigned portfolio(s) in accordance with the bank’s policy and procedures.Inform appropriate loan officer, credit manager, and credit officer of potential risks associated with loan reviews and follow up to ensure compliance. Maintain accurate knowledge of Manasquan Bank credit, guidelines, practices, and regulatory policies to maintain compliance.Maintain and update watch list credits in the portfolio(s).Assist lenders with customer contact, loan requests within the portfolio and required site visits.JOB REQUIREMENTS Strong analytical skills: ability to review and understand individual and company financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, industry and competitive analysis and projections.Strong background in CRE, C&I and small business underwriting and lending. Working knowledge of all commercial products and services. Experience with banking software/applications.A strong competency to problem solve accurately and efficiently, organize time and resources, and set priorities to accomplish multiple duties.Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, listening.Great interpersonal skills; commitment to exceptional service and client relationship development for internal and external clients.Must possess the level of product knowledge necessary to effectively promote the Bank’s products and services by identifying cross selling opportunities, educating clients regarding the benefits of the Bank’s products and services, and effectively promoting them.Align and embrace our pillar core values of engagement, quality, innovation, & relevance and sustainability.Complete required enterprise-wide training to keep current on regulatory and industry trends.TOTAL REWARDS
