What You’ll Do:
- Correctly identify each patient, reviewing the patient’s medical history – including pregnancy and allergy information – in accordance with departmental policies.
- Assess patient condition and move, assist, and immobilize patients as needed to assure safety, comfort, and modesty.
- Review each examination for technical accuracy and present complete examination to appropriate supervisor.
- Communicate pertinent data to all individuals responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.
- Use proper shielding and radiation protection in accordance with the departmental Radiation Protection program.
- Assure that all diagnostic x-ray equipment is utilized properly and proficiently in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines and departmental procedures.
- Monitor patient condition before, during, and after the examination.
- Manage images through modality-DR-RIS-PACS and perform all established quality checks.
- Use computer system to accurately document patient information regarding scheduling and entering orders into the hospital information system and Radiology Information System.
- Cross train into other modalities as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
Required
- Graduate of accredited R.T. program
- Clinical Rotation with Radiology Program; will accept new graduates.
- ARRT Certification or Registry eligible. Registry should be completed within one year after date of hire, unless arrangements have been made with the Director for extenuating circumstances.
- Maintain CEU level adequately.
- Maintain CPR certification.
- Maintain other certifications based on modalities.
- NH State License for Medical Imaging-Radiologic Technologist.
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications related to Radiology. Must be able to use computer applications in daily work.
Preferred:
- Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology
- 1-3 years’ experience as a Rad Tech, with training in other modalities such as CAT Scan, Mammography, Bone Density.
- Advanced level Certifications such as Mammography and CAT Scan if cross trained into these modalities.
