About This Position
Summary
Reports to the Data, Quality & Metrics (DQM) Director of the Packnett Family Cancer Institute (PFCI). Participates and supports organization and implementation of clinical, operational, and regulatory/certification projects as assigned. Maintains expertise in PFCI Commission on Cancer (CoC), National Accreditation for Breast Programs (NAPBC), and National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer standards to help ensure successful program oversight and positive survey outcomes. Utilizes, maintains, and participates in the development of project tracking software (project planner) for the DQM department to ensure timely project activities and deliverables. Is responsible for maintaining knowledge in Epic ambulatory and Epic reporting to assist with clinical validation to ensure successful and accurate project implementation. Understands and utilizes project management, lean and informatics tools to meet deadlines and ensure accurate, transparent, timely information is available to stakeholders. Works closely and collaboratively with the DQM Director, certification stakeholders, and the DQM team. Exhibits flexibility and can successfully apply project management organization to multiple, fast-paced, varied, and distinct areas of work.
Education
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Lean, Six Sigma, Informatics, and/or project management training preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Current state license as an RN required.
Experience
Demonstrable minimum requirement of 5 years of experience in data driven healthcare project improvement initiatives.
Other Qualifications
Must have training and/or experience using Microsoft products, Excel skillset must be intermediate level; knowledge of project management software preferred. Possesses the ability to design, organize and implement clinical workflow improvements. Skilled at problem-solving; possesses strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficient in utilizing critical thinking skills to solve complex issues. Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, effectively with technical teams, as well as executives, physicians, managers, clinical end users and organizational leaders. Agile and innovative in thought processes with history of successful deliverables. Understands data and the importance of accurate, timely data delivery.
