Court Monitor, Springfield YMCA at YMCA of Eastern Delaware County – Springfield, Pennsylvania

Whistles, high-fives, and good vibes required! The Springfield YMCA is seeking Court Monitors for weekday evenings (4–10 PM) and weekend afternoons (12–6 PM) to help keep our courts safe, fun, and full of energy.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for facilitating open gym rules & code of conduct in order to provide a fun and safe environment for members. This position will be expected to follow the values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility in every duty associated with the YMCA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Monitor gym at all times, greets all members.Familiarize members with rules and holds members accountable for those rules.Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA. Encourages parent involvement.Maintains records as required (i.e. attendance, etc)Completes accident/incident reports as necessary.Attends staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.Organizes and puts away needed equipment. Reports damaged equipment.Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times (in accordance with the CYEDC dress code policy.)Any other duties deemed necessary to ensure the success of the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County.QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 18 years of age.Certifications: American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/AED, and First Aid within 15 days of hire.Completion of required trainings.Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1. Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions and to supervise program activities in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor locations.

2. Able to lift and carry 15-50 lbs.
