Join a growing B2B SaaS environment developing advanced technology to optimize cloud infrastructure spending. You will play a key role in optimizing committed-use discounts and developing cost strategies that balance savings with operational risk. Working with large-scale cloud spending data, you will identify inefficiencies, investigate anomalies, and turn complex financial insights into actionable recommendations. This role combines cloud financial management, data analytics, and problem-solving in a technology-driven environment. You will have the opportunity to make a measurable impact on cloud cost optimization while contributing to an innovative, globally distributed team.

Accountabilities

As a Senior Cloud FinOps Analyst, you will take ownership of cloud cost analysis and optimization strategies, using financial modeling and technical insights to maximize savings and improve spending efficiency.

  • Analyze cloud usage, consumption, and cost data to identify trends, spending patterns, and optimization opportunities.

  • Optimize committed-use discount instruments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Committed Use Discounts, and Sustained Use Discounts.

  • Develop and refine cloud discount strategies to maximize savings while accounting for usage patterns, financial commitments, and operational risks.

  • Identify and resolve inefficiencies, anomalies, and edge cases affecting cloud cost optimization strategies.

  • Use analytical insights and financial modeling to support informed, data-driven cost management decisions.

  • Investigate complex cost-related issues, identify root causes, and drive them through to resolution.

  • Continuously evaluate cloud spending strategies to improve financial performance and optimization outcomes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate combines hands-on FinOps expertise with strong financial and analytical capabilities, enabling them to translate complex cloud cost data into effective optimization strategies.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps), working with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Expert-level understanding of cloud committed-discount instruments, including Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Committed Use Discounts, and Sustained Use Discounts.

  • Strong proficiency in analytical tools, financial modeling, and data analysis.

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using SQL and business intelligence (BI) tools.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to interpret complex cloud cost data, identify optimization opportunities, and make risk-conscious recommendations.

  • Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to investigate issues, understand root causes, and drive solutions independently.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary of $100,000–$140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Long-term incentive program.

  • 401(k) retirement plan.

  • Paid time off.

  • Fully remote opportunity for U.S.-based candidates.

  • Opportunity to join a financially stable, cash-positive startup with an experienced leadership team.

  • Innovative, collaborative, and professional work environment.

  • Culture focused on productivity, with minimal unnecessary meetings.
