About the Role
We're looking for an Asset Recovery & Remarketing Manager to lead a critical function within our Portfolio Management organization.
In this role, you'll be accountable for the day-to-day performance, strategy, operational planning, vendor relationships, budget execution, and continuous improvement of our Asset Recovery and Remarketing operations.
You'll lead an established team, develop future leaders, and help strengthen how we recover, manage, and remarket equipment. You'll have meaningful ownership of operational results while partnering closely with Product, Technology, Accounting, Servicing, and the Vice President of Portfolio on strategy and priorities.
This opportunity is well suited for an experienced asset recovery or remarketing leader who has managed production teams, leveraged technology and data insights in operations, worked with third-party vendors, and improved operational and financial performance.
The Team
You'll join Clicklease's Portfolio Management department and lead agents supporting Asset Recovery and Remarketing operations based in the U.S. and Costa Rica.
The team works with external recovery and remarketing partners and collaborates with internal stakeholders to improve recovery outcomes, manage costs, and support compliant asset disposition.
You'll also help develop future team leads and supervisors as the operation continues to scale.
What You'll Do
- Lead Asset Recovery and Remarketing operations. Oversee recovery, repossession, and disposition activities to improve timeliness, cost efficiency, and financial outcomes.
- Build strong vendor partnerships. Manage recovery and remarketing vendors, negotiate commercial terms, monitor service performance, and improve vendor accountability.
- Own operational performance. Develop operating plans, manage assigned budgets, establish KPIs and SMART goals, build reports and track results, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and recovery value.
- Optimize asset disposition. Oversee auction and resale channels, evaluate remarketing outcomes, and improve processes that support net recovery proceeds.
- Develop a high-performing team. Lead, coach, and manage production agents while identifying and developing future leaders.
- Strengthen processes and controls. Partner with Portfolio leadership and Legal/Compliance to support appropriate asset recovery practices, issue escalation, and scalable operations.
- Advance software & technology solutions. Identify and implement AI and data driven strategies and processes that optimize performance while limiting expense.
What You Have
- 5+ years of professional experience in asset recovery, repossession, or remarketing within equipment finance, leasing, auto finance, or lending.
- 3+ years of people-management experience, including direct supervision of at least seven employees.
- Experience managing third-party asset recovery or remarketing vendors.
- Experience negotiating vendor pricing, agreements, or commercial service terms.
- Experience using operating budgets, performance reports, and scorecards to manage results.
- Working knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements applicable to asset recovery and disposition, including UCC Article 9 and relevant state requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Experience in small-ticket equipment finance or leasing.
- Experience scaling operational teams and developing future supervisors or team leads.
- Familiarity with Recovery Database Network, auction platforms, or comparable recovery and remarketing systems.
- Experience with Salesforce and advanced Excel.
- Experience with SQL, Snowflake, or business intelligence tools.
What Success Looks Like in the First 6 Months
- Build visibility into performance. Establish clear operating baselines and reporting for recovery results, remarketing performance, vendor effectiveness, and costs.
- Strengthen vendor operations. Evaluate vendor coverage, agreements, and performance, and identify practical opportunities for improvement.
- Develop the team. Establish consistent coaching and performance-management routines and begin building development plans for future leaders.
- Create a roadmap for improvement. Deliver a prioritized Asset Recovery and Remarketing operating plan addressing budget performance, vendor strategy, processes, and scalability.
