At Piedmont Crossing, our Caregivers/CNAs are at the heart of the resident experience. Working within our household model of care, Caregivers build meaningful relationships with residents while providing compassionate, resident-directed support that promotes independence, dignity, and quality of life. As a resident's closest advocate, the Caregiver plays an essential role in meeting physical, emotional, social, and recreational needs while helping create a warm, welcoming environment that truly feels like home.

Under the direction of a licensed nurse, the Caregiver/CNA provides assistance with activities of daily living, observes and reports changes in resident condition, and supports individualized care plans. This role also collaborates with the household team to encourage resident engagement through meaningful activities, social interaction, exercise, and recreation. In addition, Caregivers assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable household environment and support residents with personal laundry and other daily needs.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a state-approved Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program.

• Minimum of three (3) months of experience performing basic nursing assistant duties preferred.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or senior living environments is a plus.

• Current CNA certification and active listing on the state Nurse Aide Registry.
• Must maintain all federal and state requirements necessary to remain certified and in good standing.
• Successful completion of training in household operations, including resident engagement, social services support, housekeeping, and laundry functions.
• Cross-training in household homemaking duties, including food service and safe food handling practices, preferred.
• ServSafe® certification or equivalent food handling certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to person-centered care, resident choice, and creating meaningful relationships with residents and fellow team members.
• Must be at least 18 years of age in accordance with Department of Labor regulations.
