Welcome to Corner Bakery Cafe!
We started in Chicago in November 1991 as a small bakery supplying artisan breads. Today we’re a neighborhood gathering spot serving made-to-order breakfast, lunch, and dinner, whether you dine in, grab it to go, or order catering. Our kitchens are real kitchens. We chop over 40 kinds of fresh herbs, fruits, and vegetables every day, scramble eggs to order over open flames, hand-toss salads, and keep the ovens going all day long. Our Breadheads are the heart of the brand. They’re passionate, creative, and genuinely love helping others.
The Role
You’ll greet and serve a high volume of guests each shift, run the register, and deliver food to tables. If you’re friendly, upbeat, and enjoy making someone’s day, we’ll teach you the rest. Customer service experience is a plus.
What You’ll Do
• Welcome every guest with a smile and eye contact, and make a real connection
• Take orders and payments accurately on the register
• Deliver food quickly and correctly
• Multitask during busy rushes without cutting corners
• Support your teammates and help live out our values every shift
What We’re Looking For
• A positive, cheerful attitude and a love of serving others
• Someone reliable and consistent who shows up for the team
• Clear communication with guests and coworkers in English
• At least 17 years old
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including [weekends/holidays]
• Reliable transportation (we’re near several public transit lines)
• Able to stand for several hours and lift up to [25] lbs
