Job Description
Position Overview
The Marketing Lead owns the planning, messaging, and performance of Winsor’s marketing, along with the marketing initiatives we deliver for clients. This role sets campaign direction, creates the content that carries Winsor’s message, uses results to decide what to change, and directs the day-to-day marketing work queue, including work carried out by the Marketing Operations Specialist. It is a hands-on role: you will write, design, and build, not just plan.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Messaging
• Develop Winsor’s marketing messaging and positioning for target industries and services, in partnership with the Marketing Manager and sales leadership.
• Plan the campaign calendar across email, social, web, events, and other channels, setting goals and success measures for each campaign.
• Write and produce core content: website copy, case studies, blog posts, service one-pagers, presentations, and sales enablement materials.
Performance and Optimization
• Own campaign and website performance reporting using HubSpot, Google Analytics, and Semrush.
• Analyze results and decide what to change (channels, messaging, offers, or timing), and present recommendations to the Marketing Manager.
• Partner with sales leadership on lead definitions, lifecycle stages, and lead handoff, and report on marketing’s contribution to pipeline.
Client Marketing
• Lead assigned client marketing initiatives: serve as the marketing contact for client stakeholders, present work, and manage feedback and approvals.
• Ensure client deliverables are completed on brand, on time, and within the agreed scope.
Work Direction
• Set priorities and timelines for the marketing work queue and direct day-to-day tasks assigned to the Marketing Operations Specialist.
• Review campaign builds, content, and creative before launch for accuracy and brand consistency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
• 3+ years of B2B marketing experience, including planning and executing multi-channel campaigns.
• Strong writing skills demonstrated through a portfolio of web copy, long-form content, and sales materials (portfolio requested with application).
• Hands-on experience building campaigns, workflows, and reports in HubSpot or a comparable marketing automation platform.
• A track record of using campaign data to change direction and improve results.
• Experience communicating directly with clients or external stakeholders on deliverables and approvals.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred
• Experience marketing for a managed service provider, IT, cybersecurity, or professional services firm.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva; photography and video production skills.
• Experience with WordPress, Semrush, Google Analytics, and Meta Business Suite.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude to accelerate research, content, and analysis.
• Experience directing the work of a coordinator, specialist, or outside agency.
Business Systems and Software
• HubSpot (CRM, Marketing Hub, website builder), WordPress, Google Analytics, Semrush, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Meta Business Suite, Microsoft 365, and AI tools such as Claude
What Success Looks Like
• Winsor’s message is clear and consistent across the website, sales materials, and campaigns.
• A documented campaign calendar is in place, with goals and results tracked for every campaign.
• Regular reporting shows marketing’s contribution to leads and pipeline, and decisions are made from it.
• Sales and marketing share lead definitions and a working handoff process, and lead quality improves.
• Client marketing deliverables land on time and within scope, and clients have a professional experience.
• The marketing work queue is prioritized and moving, with clear direction for the Marketing Operations Specialist.
