Wholesale Equipment Representative in Hopkinsville, Kentucky at Agri-power Inc

The Wholesale Representative works with the Used Equipment Coordinator and Director of Whole Goods to execute H&R Agri-Power’s used equipment marketing plan. This person assists the Sales Department in establishing proper inventory values. They list estimated booking values on trade appraisals and review current booking values on existing inventory. They also help market to whole purchasers and auction companies. Finally, they look for opportunities in the wholesale marketplace to purchase equipment for resale.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Estimate correct booking numbers on trade appraisals.

a. Review trade appraisals for completeness and correctness.

b. Conduct research to establish estimated booking number.

c. Work with Sales Department providing proper guidance.

2) Review current inventory and ensure units are properly priced.

a. Review all inventory pricing every 90 days at a minimum.

b. Determine proper pricing to ensure used equipment turn goals.

3) Have good understanding of the current used equipment market.

4) Build contacts within the wholesale market.

5) Buy and Sell used equipment when opportunistic for the Company.

6) Train Salespersons and Managers on properly evaluating used equipment.

7) Help determine proper programing to help keep used equipment turn at expected levels.

8) Provide good reporting on potential inventory problems and work with the Company to eliminate those problems in a financially sound manner.

Essential Job Requirements:

1) Minimum of 5 years’ equipment sales experience is required.

2) Ability to speak and write effectively one-on-one and within a group.

3) Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.

4) Knowledge of relevant agronomic practices and trends.

5) Ability to navigate standard desktop applications such as Microsoft O365 and other Internet applications as required.
