Laundress in at Stabilize Health LLC

Position Summary:

The Laundress is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized laundry operation that supports the comfort, safety, and well-being of clients and staff at Coastal Oaks Recovery. This position ensures that all linens, towels, bedding, and facility laundry are properly washed, dried, folded, distributed, and stored according to facility standards and infection control procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, towels, blankets, and other facility laundry.
• Operate and maintain commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow established infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures when handling soiled linens.
• Inspect linens and clothing for stains, damage, or excessive wear and report replacement needs.
• Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and adequately stocked with supplies.
• Monitor inventory levels of laundry detergents, disinfectants, and related supplies.
• Transport clean linens to designated storage areas and client care areas.
• Adhere to facility policies regarding confidentiality and client privacy.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and proper handling procedures for chemicals and cleaning products.
• Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist with housekeeping duties as needed to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support client care and program operations

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required or obtained within the designated timeframe after hire

Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

· Strong attention to detail and organization.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
