About the role
Les Olson Company is seeking a detail-oriented MIT Quoting Specialist to join our Managed IT (MIT) team. This role is a vital part of the sales process, supporting our sales team with accurate, timely quoting and order processing for Managed IT hardware and software.
The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a collaborative environment. While this role may not always involve direct customer interaction, your communication and accuracy will have a direct impact on sales success and customer satisfaction.
What you'll do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for product sourcing, pricing, availability, and technical information for the sales team
- Respond to sales inquiries regarding products, features, pricing, and specifications via multiple communication channels
- Receive, review, and manage quote requests through Salesforce and delegate as appropriate
- Verify and validate all information provided by sales to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Request additional details from sales when needed to avoid incorrect or costly solutions
- Ensure all quotes are professional, accurate, and customer-ready
- Update, review, and submit quote revisions as requested
- Exercise sound judgment and creativity when handling non-standard hardware or software requests and provide alternative solutions when needed
- Process accepted MIT quotes efficiently and accurately
- Create Autotask tickets for approved products and services
- Assist with proactive monthly reviews, including:
- Product updates and changes
- Pricing increases
- Subscription renewals and support agreements
- Hardware and software refresh opportunities
- Notify sales of pricing or product changes affecting current or future quotes
- Support team projects and assist coworkers as workload allows
- Maintain and expand product knowledge through company and vendor-provided training
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer- and team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to continuously learn new products and technologies
- Experience with quoting, order processing, CRM, or Autotask is a plus
- 2-4 years of related experience
- Batchlor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems or related field.
