Job Summary
The Test Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining test methodologies, equipment, and processes that ensure product quality and manufacturing efficiency across the organization. This role provides technical leadership in troubleshooting, continuous improvement, test automation, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Customer Support teams.
COMPLEXITY & PROBLEM SOLVING
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of information requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Devises solutions based on limited information and precedents and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues. Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select right course of action. Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Own and maintain test processes, equipment, and documentation for assigned product lines.
· Investigate, diagnose, and disposition production test failures; drive root cause and corrective actions.
· Develop and validate test methods, test fixtures, and automation scripts for new and existing products.
· Standardize test equipment, procedures, and best practices across sites to ensure global consistency.
· Create and maintain technical documentation including test instructions, troubleshooting guides, and training materials.
· Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support design-for-test, cost reduction, and process improvement initiatives.
· Train technicians and operators on test systems, data integrity, and proper handling of test equipment.
· Ensure compliance with ESD, FOD, safety, and regulatory requirements within the test environment.
· Lead the introduction and qualification of new test platforms into manufacturing.
Requirements:KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS
Complete knowledge and full understanding of area of specialization, principles and practices within a professional discipline. Assesses unusual circumstances and uses sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify cause. Resolves and assesses a wide range of issues in creative ways and suggests variations in approach. This job is the fully qualified, experienced professional, journey-level position.

· Experience with Flying Probe systems.
· 1–2 years of experience coding in C or C++ for test automation or embedded test utilities.
· Hand soldering skills with IPC-610 / JSTD certification or compliance is a plus.
· Technical writing experience for engineering or manufacturing documentation.
· Customer communication experience in a technical support capacity.
· Experience programming with NI Labview, PuTTY, or other automated test software suites.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience. Seeking competencies in the following areas:
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
· 3–5 years of hands-on experience in electronic test engineering within a manufacturing environment.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and test documentation.
· Foundational electrical knowledge, including measurement techniques and test instrumentation.
· Experience using PuTTY, TestStand, or similar test control interfaces.
· IPC, ESD, and FOD awareness and adherence.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to document processes clearly and train others.
· Demonstrated ability to share data, collaborate effectively, and work within cross-functional teams.
