Overview
EagleView, the leader in aerial imagery, is seeking an experienced Inventory, Acquisition & Compliance Specialist to support Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMT) with daily aircraft parts ordering, receiving, inspection, and allocation. This position will report directly to the Aviation Maintenance Technician Senior Team Lead. Primary responsibilities will include maintaining a commitment to safety and compliance with Eagleview's safe work practices. The right candidate will assist with aircraft maintenance preplanning to source and acquire parts in a timely manner. Facilitate outbound and inbound shipments to and from other Pacific Fleet Aviation and supplier locations. Performs weekly, monthly, or quarterly inventory cycle counts, and other duties as assigned. We are a fast-paced, energetic team driven by continuous process improvement. We’re looking for motivated, organized, and independent team members. This position requires good communication skills and the ability to quickly pick up new technologies.
This is a full-time, onsite role in Burlington, NC, with an hourly wage of $21.50/hr to $26.50/hr. Travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, safety guidelines, and industry standards related to inventory management.
- Coordinate and monitor tool calibration.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area.
- Coordinate inventory of multiple airframe spare parts; organize storage areas, strip/salvage parts from parts aircraft.
- Parts tagging using the industry’s color-coded tags.
- Create and maintain inventory records in inventory tracking software.
- Coordinating with maintenance teams, suppliers, and other hangar facilities to ensure timely availability of parts for aircraft maintenance and repair.
- Inspecting incoming parts and materials for quality
- Order parts and hangar supply commodities as needed for use by AMT with daily work.
- Compiling inventory reports.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving for all inventory and non-inventory items.
- Provide flexible resource to on-site A&P and Eagleview technicians on an as needed basis.
- Forecasting future inventory requirements.
- Assist with monthly expenses and reports submission.
- Assist with billing and payment processes.
- Additional analysis duties related to inventory metrics.
- Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials and minimizing waste.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' inventory experience.
- Working knowledge of word processor, database, and spreadsheet software.
- Knowledge of inventory and inventory tracking using industry applications.
- Good organizational and time-management skills are necessary to take charge of organizing inventory and improving the efficiency of shipping and receiving process.
- The ability to manage multiple projects at one time in an efficient and timely manner.
- Good written and verbal communication skills are crucial.
- Problem-solving skills to come up with ways to improve overall efficiency and overcome inventory problems.
- Familiarity with risk assessment and mitigation strategies to proactively manage compliance risks.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with aviation regulations and industry standards.
- Understanding of aircraft parts and maintenance processes.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Ability to perform pre inspection and forklift operation.
- Previous experience in compliance related roles that involves interpreting and implementing regulations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- The ability to lift and carry heavy aviation parts, tools, and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more
- Constant squatting, bending, reaching, sitting, walking, and standing while performing inventory audits, inspections, and other tasks within the hangar.
- Good eyesight to read labels, part numbers and serial numbers on inventory items.
- Climbing ladders to access inventory stored at different heights within hangar facility.
