Role: The Surveillance Agent monitors casino operations through closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems to detect criminal activity, policy violations, and regulatory noncompliance. This role observes guests and employees across the casino floor, cage, count rooms, and public areas. The Agent documents incidents through accurate written reports and maintains detailed activity logs. The position captures and preserves clear video evidence to resolve disputes, support internal investigations, and assist with legal or regulatory proceedings as needed. This position reports directly to the Surveillance Supervisor and performs additional related duties as assigned to support safety, asset protection, and compliance objectives. Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: Experience in the use and operation of digital recording equipment preferred.
- Skills:
- Working knowledge of CCTV systems and video monitoring equipment
- Strong observation, attention to detail, and investigative skills
- Knowledge of casino games and rules, including live table games such as blackjack, craps, roulette, poker, and other specialty games offered on the casino floor
- Understanding of casino operational procedures, including cashier’s cage, soft count, hard count, slots, pit operations, and security
- Ability to accurately document incidents through clear, concise written reports
- Strong verbal and telephone communication skills, including the ability to translate verbal information into written reports
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Proficiency in operating standard office equipment
- Reliable attendance and dependability are essential
- Required:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Conduct continuous and directed surveillance observations, reviews, and investigations using closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems and other surveillance-related equipment.
- Monitor casino operations to identify criminal activity, regulatory violations, policy breaches, and risks to guests, employees, and company assets.
- Complete accurate and timely written reports, incident summaries, and daily activity logs in accordance with departmental standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform routine equipment checks to ensure the proper operation, functionality, and integrity of all surveillance systems and report deficiencies as required.
- Capture, assemble, preserve, and archive video evidence to support investigations, dispute resolution, regulatory reviews, and potential court proceedings.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal departments, including Security, Casino Operations, Cage, and Management, as well as external agencies when appropriate.
- Provide testimony in legal or regulatory proceedings as required regarding surveillance findings and documented investigations.
- Ensure adherence to all departmental policies, procedures, internal controls, and applicable gaming regulations.
- Assist the Surveillance Supervisor with the training and development of surveillance agent trainees, including instruction on equipment use, procedures, and reporting standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Surveillance to support departmental objectives and organizational compliance.

Work is performed in a (type of location, i.e., office, kitchen, restaurant, casino, etc.) environment and in other locations throughout the property. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases too loud. Additionally, smoking is permitted in casino areas consistent with Nevada state regulations, which are followed by the employer.
