The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
The Coordinator schedules timely appointments, obtains prescriptions from referring providers and performs daily required tasks in our EMR for Breast Imaging procedures. Performs all duties of scheduling appointments, answering telephones, entering all information into the computer. Communicates effectively with other areas of the department, hospital and physician offices to coordinate patient activities. The Coordinator is responsible for identifying critical unit support activities and identifying critical clerical/administrative functions as directed. Is the point person for staff for patient information regarding all communication with ordering physician offices and internal staff.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma
Preferred:
- Good communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology
- 2-4 years of experience in prior medical facility
Scheduling Requirements:
- Per Diem, Day
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for tracking patient follow ups, results for patient letters and physician reports and documenting breast pathology results in the Coordinator dashboard
- Provides cross coverage through the unit for support staff and file room duties
- Cross coverage for Monmouth Medical Center Jacqueline M. Wilentz Breast Center facilities
- Knowledge of EPIC Coordinator breast imaging dashboard a plus
