Job Description
Title: MEP Field Survey EngineerDocument existing conditions of an area and construction object for plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection. Learn the building codes that apply to the project. Ability to document, describe, and measure items above the ceiling and on the rooftops. Coordinating with the client, the MEP/FP/IT design team, and other engineers to ensure the design is consistent with the client’s vision, to identify and resolve areas of conflict, to ensure a fully coordinated interdisciplinary design, and to ensure the design schedule is maintained.Capable of climbing a ladder and operating a scissor lift. Travel three to four days a week to various sites in the USA. Submit field reports within two-three days after the survey. Organize and submit travel expense receipts on time. Provide mentoring and guidance for colleagues. Be a part of a mid-sized company that values quality, efficiency, and clear communication. We are seeking a Field Survey Engineer to gather information allowing the design team to develop plumbing, mechanical, and electrical plans and specifications for architectural projects in the USA.
Key Responsibilities:
What We Are Looking For:
- Willingness to travel three to four days a week to various job sites.
- Capable of climbing a ladder and operating a scissor lift.
- In possession of an associate degree in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
- 1-2 or more years of field survey experience with an MEP/FP engineering consulting company
- Ability to travel in the USA and sometimes in Canada.
- Valid U.S. Passport.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe PDF, and Microsoft Suite.
- Good communication skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently upon receiving necessary direction and information.
