Hours of Operation; 6:30pm to 5:00am- Monday to Saturday.

Position Description:

Haul Truck Driver responsibilities and abilities include but are not limited to the list below. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Operate and drive heavy haul trucks to transport large heavy equipment over short distances either early in the morning or late at night
  2. Loads truck by hand or by operating mechanical loader.
  3. Pulls levers or turns crank to tilt body and dump contents.
  4. Perform inspections of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights, turn signals and brakes
  5. Ensure cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirements, size up load
  6. Follow all safety policies, procedures and legislation, at all times observes and operates within applicable traffic laws
  7. Maintain paper or electronic log book
  8. Communicate with Dispatcher and other Haul Truck Drivers using communication devices such as a two-ways radio or onboard computers
  9. Moves hand and foot controls to jerk truck forward and backward to loosen and dump material adhering to body.
  10. May drive special purpose vehicles, including: end dump trucks, centre dump truck units, shuttle cars, remix trucks and water trucks


Position Requirements:
  1. Have a minimum of 2 years of haul truck driving experience or a minimum of 2 years of training with a minimum of 6 months of equivalent work experience.
  2. Must be willing to work night shift
  3. Willing to do labor work
  4. Ability to work safely under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment.
