Cashier Convenience Store (Costa Mesa, CA) at East End Lube LLC – Costa Mesa, California

As the Convenience Store Cashier, you’re the face of Wild Water Convenience Store and the first point of contact for every customer. This role assists the day-to-day performance of our small convenience store, including driving sales, keeping the store fully stocked and guest ready. Cahier’s report directly to the Store Manager.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Deliver a great customer experience: welcome every customer with a positive, friendly attitude, providing top-tier customer service during every interaction, every time.
• Run daily operations: Open/close routines, cash handling, daily checklists, and consistent store standards. Operate the POS system accurately to process transactions.
• Stock and organize shelves: Restock merchandise (snacks, drinks, cigarettes, automotive items, etc.), rotate products to ensure freshness, face products for neat displays, and check for expired items to remove them.
• Maintain store cleanliness: clean counters, floors, restrooms, windows, coolers, and pumps; empty trash; wipe down surfaces; and keep the overall store tidy and presentable.
• Manage inventory and receive deliveries: Check in new shipments, verify quantities, put away stock, monitor low inventory levels, and sometimes help with basic ordering or reporting shortages

• Able to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physical duties (bending, crouching, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces)
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Solid understanding of cash handling
• Basic computer/tablet skills and clear verbal/written communication
• Work on the floor—stocking, cleaning, receiving deliveries
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with retail operations
