Position Summary

Paxon Energy & Infrastructure Services is seeking an experienced Lead Service Technician to support our Pipeline Services operations in Middle Georgia. This is a senior, hands‑on field role for a highly skilled natural gas pipeline professional who serves as the on‑site lead for pipeline service activities. This position plays a critical role in leading field execution on job sites.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, proven field leadership, a safety‑first mindset, and the ability to independently execute work while coordinating with managers, project teams, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the on‑site lead technician for pipeline service projects, coordinating daily field activities and work execution
  • Lead and/or support small field crews during pipeline service jobs
  • Perform maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of natural gas pipeline systems
  • Execute pipeline pigging operations, including launching, receiving, and maintaining pigging equipment
  • Identify and resolve mechanical and operational issues in the field
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate field documentation, reports, and job data
  • Communicate effectively with the Pipeline Services Manager, project teams, clients, and field personnel
  • Assist with field training and mentoring of junior technicians as needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5–8 years of experience in natural gas pipeline operations and maintenance
  • Experience serving as a lead technician or coordinating field crews on pipeline projects
  • Strong working knowledge of pipeline pigging operations
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, procedures, and technical specifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and operational excellence
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid CDL
  • Broad experience with pipeline service tools and equipment
  • Compressor station, meter station, or related facility experience
