Field Coordinator - Engineering

Project Resources Group (PRG) is searching for a Field CoordinatorEngineering in our Las Vegas/Henderson, NV market. A successful candidate will bring hands-on OSP field engineering experience and a strong working knowledge of local permitting requirements, dig laws, and aerial construction standards. This role serves as the critical link between design and field execution — identifying constructability conflicts early, executing minor design corrections in the field, and keeping construction activity aligned with regulatory and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field ride-outs to validate OSP designs against actual field conditions, identifying discrepancies, conflicts, and constructability issues prior to and during construction.
  • Perform pre-construction design reviews and physical walkouts to confirm design accuracy and permit compliance before construction crews mobilize.
  • Execute minor design modifications using AutoCAD and GIS platforms to reflect field conditions and resolve constructability conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Document field findings, produce accurate redlines, and communicate discrepancies to engineering and construction management teams.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable 811/One Call dig law requirements, NESC aerial construction standards, and Clark County, City of Henderson, and NDOT ROW requirements.
  • Interface with local jurisdictions, utility companies, and permitting authorities as needed to support active construction.
  • Coordinate with construction management teams to resolve field engineering issues and support on-time project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting of field findings, design changes, and outstanding resolution items.
  • Support QA/QC functions by verifying as-built conditions against design documentation.
  • Analyze field data and contribute to continuous improvement of design and construction processes.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in OSP field engineering or construction management with a specific focus on fiber optic outside plant infrastructure; mid-to-deep OSP construction management background will also be considered.
  • Working knowledge of 811/One Call dig law compliance requirements and NESC aerial construction standards.
  • Familiarity with Clark County, City of Henderson, and NDOT ROW permitting processes, inspection expectations, and authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD for field design modifications and redline documentation; experience with 3GIS and/or Esri/ArcGIS platforms strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and independent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound field engineering decisions without direct supervision.
  • Computer proficiency and experience with Google Suite tools to create, manage, and communicate field reports and data to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical findings to both engineering and field construction audiences..

Work Environment

  • This hybrid requires work in the field and in the office. Field work includes walking sites, climbing stairs, and engaging directly with teams and clients. Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and appropriate insurance.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer competitive hourly pay ($33 to $38 per hour based on experience) along with a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents.
  • 401(k) retirement plan, with company match after one (1) year.
  • Short-term disability coverage after one (1) year.
  • Paid time off and holidays.
  • Additional perks such as company-paid life insurance and other supplemental insurances available.
