Join us as a Platform Engineer to join our dynamic Data Storage team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of database technologies such as Postgres, MongoDB, ClickHouse, etc., and a strong curiosity to learn how to manage and automate large-scale infrastructure in a distributed system environment.
Your Impact at Brevo:- Design and implement data storage solutions that meet the performance, reliability, security, and scalability requirements of our software products, using automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Perform installation, configuration, parameter tuning, and monitoring of database technologies using automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Monitor and optimise performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Develop and implement data backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard against data loss and ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand hosting requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Participate in automation for deployment pipelines to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Help diagnose and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal service disruption.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide timely incident response and support for production database environments, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal business impact.
- Experience between 4-8 years
- Must have good knowledge of Linux.
- Must be well-versed in managing any of the data engines: NoSQL, SQL, RDBMS, Object Storage, File Storage (i.e. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Clickhouse, ScyllaDB, Minio, etc.)
- Must have a strong understanding of data backup and disaster recovery best practices and methodologies.
- Must have good knowledge of Ansible, Bash or Terraform for automation tasks.
- Must possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex storage issues and develop effective solutions.
- Must be comfortable participating in on-call rotations, taking ownership of production incidents, and responding to critical database issues promptly outside of regular working hours.
