Registered Nurse Acute Bedside at St. Clair Hospital – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Summary

Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing patient care in accordance with established standards and skill competency.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Must possess a current license or a temporary practice permit to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
2. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
3. Appropriate clinical experience with a thorough knowledge of the scientific principles of nursing and professional nursing standards, developed skill in delivering nursing care, and the ability to adapt to individual needs.
4. A fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
5. The ability to successfully complete a competency-based orientation and annual competency testing of skills and/or knowledge necessary to provide care to specific patient populations.
6. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

1. One to three years of clinical experience in obstetrics/gynecology, or a related field.
2. Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP).
3. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
4. Previous Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or Level 2 Nursery experience.
