Job Summary
Responsible for the day-to-day oversight and direction of the administrative operations of the Health Services Department (HS). Prepares correspondence, develops training manuals, flow processes and logs on departmental procedures. Writes and updates departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and URAC requirements. Compiles and maintains files in preparation of internal and state audits. Coordinates special projects, schedules, activities, etc., and channels information appropriately in a timely manner.

Work Experience
Three years of management/supervisory experience is required. Strong experience in health services administrative support functions required, preferably in a managed care environment. Proficient with pre-certification/fax server operations and the denial and appeal process. Experience managing large-scale fax server information data flow. Experience maintaining a departmental policy and procedure repository. Experience with data collection and analysis, and designing reports, as demonstrated by work experience preferred.

Education and Training
Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Healthcare related field is required.
