Certified Nursing Assistant Trainee (CNA) Position Summary
TidalHealth is looking for candidates for our Certified Nursing Assistant Trainee (CNA) Program. TidalHealth has designed an internal Certified Nursing Assistant course called the TidalHealth Nursing Assistant program that we have submitted for approval by the Maryland Board of Nursing. This program will provide an opportunity for selected candidates to obtain their CNA & GNA certification and professional licensure with the Maryland Board of Nursing. Candidates will earn an hourly wage while in program for their allocated classroom and clinical hours. In return for Tidalhealth providing the training, the selected candidate will go into a training agreement with TidalHealth that states you will work for TidalHealth for a minimum allocated time in a full-time CNA role.
The training program includes both classroom and a clinical rotation, according to the requirements and standards as defined by the Maryland Board of Nursing, so attendance is mandatory in order to meet the Maryland Board of Nursing licensure requirements. The classroom training will be located at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD and the clinical rotation will take place at our skilled nursing home, Tidalhealth McCready in Crisfield, MD.

Job Placement after successful completion: TidalHealth Peninsula Regional or Atlantic General Hospital
Certified Nursing Assistant Trainee (CNA) Position Requirements

No previous healthcare experienced needed.

High School Diploma.

Must achieve a minimum score on both the Reading and Math assessment test, that will be scheduled with Lower Shore Workforce Alliance.
- May be assigned to day, evening, or night shifts or a combination per departmental policy.
- Scheduled off at least three holidays per year.
- Required to work weekends per unit need.
- Expected to work overtime on occasion.
- At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.

Salary range:$17.00-$21.25 Commensurate with experience
