About This Position
Reports to the Director. Obtains pricing information from contractors when applicable and assists contractors as needed. In conjunction with both Properties and Construction Directors and Managers, coordinates construction projects, collaborates with department users and works through completion.

Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department:
- Completes other job-related duties and projects as assigned.
Projects:
- Provides input on materials, budget, and schedule related to various projects.
- Prioritizes work with coordination of the Director and Managers.
- Receives direction from both the Properties and Construction departments for assigned projects.
- As requested by management, obtains pricing information from contractors and assistance is provided to contractors on an as needed basis.
- Coordinates projects to ensure quality workmanship at the best price including dealing with electrical, mechanical, plumbing and general contractors and having a basic knowledge of their skills.
- Significant communications and prior notice should be given to departments to ensure smooth transition and cooperation.
- Plan projects to minimize department disruption and maintain quality environment of care for patient and visitors.
- Ensure work is performed safely and completed within the schedules time frame.
Training and Education:
- Attends progress meetings pertaining to construction projects.
- Orients contractors on problems we are aware of so problems will be targeted and rectified.
- Attends seminars pertaining to construction, maintenance, and supervisory.
- Briefs co-workers on projects and involve their expertise to ensure a quality outcome.
Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:
- Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
- Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
- Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
- Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
- Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
- Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
- Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
- Complies with established organization and department policies.
- Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

Education and Experience
- The knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a High School diploma or equivalent. A minimum of two to five years of job-related experience is required. A valid State issued Driver's license is required.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong process management and project coordination experience.
- Ability to coordinate with Senior Managers, User Groups, Contractors, and Designers. Scheduling and budgeting abilities are desired.
- Knowledge of applicable state, federal and local codes.
Working Conditions
- May be exposed to undesirable working conditions including breathing of various solvents, glues and dust.
- Must utilize proper safety equipment.
Physical Demands
- Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential duties of the position.
