About This Position
Merrimack Health is currently offering a sign-on bonus for Echocardiogram Technician roles, with the amount depending on scheduled hours. Full-time positions are eligible for an $18,000 bonus.
At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $33.55 (Min) — $48.78 hourly (Max), excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.

Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds, and we are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units: cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.
Position Summary:
As the Echocardiogram Technician, you will perform echocardiograms (TTEs), trans-esophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), and Echo cardiac stress tests on in-patients and out-patients in keeping with cardiologist-approved protocols.
Transfer studies to and complete proper documentation of these studies to the McKesson Cardiac CPACS.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved program in Echocardiography
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Candidates with on-the-job training and proven, documented competency may be considered.
Licensure/Certification:
- A Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certification Preferred.
- A BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
