About the Role:

The Field Safety Technician Bay City/ Corpus Christi / San Antonio Region plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of field operations across various sites within the United States. This position is responsible for conducting thorough safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective measures to mitigate risks. The technician collaborates closely with site personnel to promote a culture of safety and adherence to regulatory standards. By maintaining detailed records and reporting on safety performance, the Field Safety Technician supports continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, this role ensures that all field activities are conducted in a manner that protects employees, the environment, and company assets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various outdoor environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certification in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field.
  • Experience working in industrial, construction, or field service environments.
  • Certification such as OSHA 10/30-hour training or First Aid/CPR.
  • Familiarity with safety management software and reporting tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse teams.
    • OSHA 30 hr Cert required
    • NCCER CSST and previous HSE experience preferred
    • Bilingual preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits at field sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with field teams to develop and implement safety protocols and training programs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of safety activities, including inspection reports, incident records, and corrective action plans.
  • Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices among field personnel.
  • Assist in emergency response planning and participate in drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Stay current with federal, state, and local safety regulations and industry best practices.

The Field Safety Technician utilizes their knowledge of safety regulations and hazard identification daily to conduct thorough site inspections and ensure compliance. Strong observational and analytical skills enable the technician to detect potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
