Responsibilities
The Director, Quality, Clinical Effectiveness & Patient Care provides strategic leadership and oversight in developing, implementing and maintaining standards of clinical practice, quality improvement, accreditation and operational excellence. This role integrates best practices in patient care, regulatory compliance and clinical effectiveness while fostering collaboration across divisions and healthcare networks. The Director, Quality, Clinical Effectiveness & Patient Care is responsible for driving superior quality, patient safety and operational efficiency; this position leads performance improvement efforts, regulatory accreditation and system-wide initiatives that optimize healthcare value at the lowest possible cost. The Director, Quality, Clinical Effectiveness & Patient Care oversees clinical operations, quality management, infection control and accreditation functions while ensuring compliance with evolving healthcare standards and regulations. By engaging cross-functional teams and medical leadership, the Director, Quality, Clinical Effectiveness & Patient Care identifies opportunities for innovation, manages key departments, and implements process improvement methodologies that enhance patient care, satisfaction and system-wide outcomes. This role provides guidance on policy development, technology needs, workforce leadership and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities:
- Engages in strategic planning, policy formulation, resource allocation and facility planning to improve quality of care, patient access, healthcare utilization and medical cost containment. Oversees financial performance by identifying areas for revenue growth, expense control and operational efficiency, including budget development.
- Provides leadership, direction and administration of clinical and administrative operations within assigned areas. Supports department management teams in achieving business goals, quality outcomes and customer satisfaction. Mentors and coaches management staff, fostering professional growth and a supportive team environment.
- Ensures all regulatory standards and accreditation compliance requirements are met. Leads specialized certification efforts, managed care performance improvement programs, and accreditation/certification initiatives.
- Provides staff management for direct reports, including annual performance evaluations and workforce deployment for optimal outcomes. Evaluates employee engagement results and develops action plans. Mentors, coaches and supports team members to ensure proper tools and training for success. Assures effective communication and coordination among teams.
- Directs the design and implementation of new or modified services to enhance patient care, safety and operational efficiency. Utilizes data-driven approaches to identify and implement quality and patient experience initiatives. Leads proactive risk assessments and performance improvement activities, focusing on metrics such as length of stay, readmission rates and value-based purchasing benchmarks.
Qualifications
Required:
- Three years quality management
- Bachelor Degree
- Registered Nurse
Desired:
- Master Degree
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality
