About the Role
JPMS Distribution Center is looking for an experienced Returns Coordinator with experience in shipping, receiving, inventory cycle counting, order fulfillment, e-commerce, display assembly work, and material handling equipment operations. The Returns Coordinator ensures that incoming returned goods are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with company policies, vendor requirements, and quality standards. The Returns Coordinator works cross-functionally with customer service, inventory control, and warehouse operations to maintain inventory accuracy, minimize losses, and uphold customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities:
Returns Processing & Documentation
- Receive, inspect, and process returned haircare products, including shampoos, conditioners, treatments, tools, and accessories
- Evaluate product condition to determine disposition (return-to-stock, quarantine, disposal, vendor return, etc.)
- Accurately enter return data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Generate and maintain Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) documentation
- Ensure all returns align with company policy and vendor guidelines
Inventory Accuracy & Quality Control
- Perform quality inspections on returned items to verify product integrity, expiration dates, and packaging conditions
- Coordinate with Inventory Control teams to reconcile discrepancies and ensure stock adjustments are accurate
- Support cycle counts, audits, and root-cause investigations related to returns
Customer & Vendor Coordination
- Communicate with customer service regarding return statuses, discrepancies, and required follow-up actions
- Prepare vendor return shipments, including documentation, labeling, and packing requirements
- Assist in resolving customer disputes related to product returns or credit issuance
Other Duties:
- Use Radio Frequency Scan gun (RF Gun) to scan all product moves at the warehouse
- Receiving: Unloading trucks, receiving, and inbound audits
- Put away: Move pallets of product to storage locations
- Replenishment/Transport: Transport pallets of product to new locations within warehouse
- Inventory: Counting and confirming inventory, conducting inventory audits, and reporting discrepancies
- Order fulfillment: Case Picking, pallet picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, including e-commerce
- Shipping: Load outbound products on to delivery vehicles. Ensure proper placement and securing items inside delivery vehicles. Create and attach necessary shipping documents to packages, including labels, invoices, and packing slips
- Outbound Audit: Inspect products for damage or defects before packaging and shipping
- Equipment operation: Safely operating turret truck, reach truck, Standup forklifts, walkie riders, electric pallet jacks, shrink machines, and other warehouse machinery
- View or input information into a Warehouse Management System (WMS), Enterprise Resource System (ERP), or another database
- Warehouse maintenance: Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy, and performing general cleanup and organization. Sweeping floors and emptying trash cans
- Health and safety: Following health and safety guidelines and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Rework: Perform Rework function as required.
- Other: Other duties within scope of role as assigned
Required Skills:
- Strong leadership skills

Preferred Skills:
- Ability to operate Turret Trucks, Standup Fork Trucks, Electric Pallet Jacks (EPJ), and Walkie Riders
- Experience with Incoterms and customs clearance procedures
- Familiarity with freight forwarding and global logistics providers
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a coordinator level role required
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting and Carrying: The ability to lift 30-50lbs regularly; occasionally up to 75lbs.
- Standing, sitting and walking: Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods (8–10-hour shifts).
- Reaching and Handling: Use of arms/hands for reaching shelves, labeling, or scanning.
- Bending, Stooping, Kneeling, and Crouching: Frequent movement required for inventory tasks.
- Climbing: May need to climb ladders or use step stools to access higher shelves.
- Pushing and Pulling: Push or pull carts, pallet jacks or bins (up to 100+ pounds in some cases).
- Visual Acuity: Ability to read labels, documents, and operate scanning equipment.
- Hearing and Communication: Ability to hear forklift horns, alarms and verbal instructions.
- Work Environment: May be exposed to extreme temperatures (hot/cold) loud noise, dust or chemicals.
- Pace: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring quick, efficient physical movement and time management.
