The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
Performs initial Psychosocial Assessments, develops initial treatment plan based on client specific needs, and provides psycho-education to patients and families as assigned. Conducts Group Interactive Psychotherapy in addition to providing case management and maintaining regular collateral contact with agencies, school and families adhering to confidentiality policies. Participates in the development of treatment plans, comprehensive assessments and discharge plans. Licensed Mental Health Professional will participate in annual facility and department specific competency trainings.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Master’s degree in recognized mental discipline with appropriate licensure which may include LCSW, LSW, LPC or Licensed Psychologist.
- Minimum two years prior work experience preferred.
- Certification or successful completion of training will be done within three months of start date. Successful completion of all orientation programs is required.

Essential Functions:
- Appropriately utilizes supervision to problem solve around clinical issues of staff dynamics
- Can identify d work through sources of client’s resistance to treatment.
- Demonstrates the ability to empower clients to function autonomously with the long term goal or reducing their utilization of mental health services
- Demonstrates the ability to identify and facilitate groups that are clinically appropriate to the current client population
- Demonstrates the ability to utilize appropriate interventions in both non-crisis and crisis situations
- Develop treatment strategy and plan that can be related in behaviorally specific short and long term goals
- Develops formulation of the case incorporating presenting problem, and current circumstances.
- Documents clearly and precisely progress notes for all patient contacts.
- Is able to explore alternate treatment modalities and make referrals when appropriate
- Is knowledgeable about client’s medication regimen and side effects
- Maintains regular collateral contact with agencies, school and family members, adhering to confidentiality policies.
- Monitors all medication appointments.
- Provides case management services to clients on case loads
- Provides feedback on group development during team and staff meetings
- Submits all session billing forms on the same day of the session.
- is able to identify when treatment goals have been reached and when benefit of treatment has been maximized
- Provides a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service.
- Adheres to patient rights: provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and records.
