Sheet Metal Installer at Enjet Aero, LLC – Huber Heights, Ohio

Position Description:

The Sheet Metal Installer installs sheet metal to produce an aircraft galley assembly. This is a 1st shift position, Mon-TH 5:30 am – 4:00 pm.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deburr parts using mechanical means (hand tools and pneumatic grinders)
• Cleaning and washing parts to remove manufacturing oils, dirt and debris
• Using hand tools, power tools, layout tools, and fasteners like bolts, screws, rivets, or clamps
• Installing and removing rivets on sheet metal
• Building sub-assemblies of aircraft parts and structures using engineering drawings and company specifications
• Reading blueprints, illustrations, or specifications to determine layouts
• Attaching operating equipment, and some electrical components
• Ensure continuous production of parts that meet customer expectations
• Inspect completed parts using micrometers, indicators, calipers, comparators, etc.
• Maintain quality standards through understanding the Quality Management System
• Monitor and document operational and performance issues and provide feedback to supervisor
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and other staff
• Other duties as directed by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Installing and removing rivets experience preferred
• Sheet metal experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary Air Frame Aviation Maintenance experience preferred
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
• Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
