SUMMARY OF DUTIESUnder the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the Crisis Intervention and Outreach Specialist I is responsible for providing prevention education, outreach, and information/referral services to clients. This role also supports the development and implementation of educational programs focused on health and safety.Provide prevention, education, outreach, and information/referral services to clients under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor. Develop and implement educational materials—including brochures, leaflets, and flyers—from various public and private organizations/agencies. Identify community groups appropriate for program presentations and outreach efforts. Develop and deliver presentations, ensuring educational materials are formatted and displayed in clear, engaging, and visually appealing ways. Serve as a positive adult role model for youth, offering guidance, persuasion, and supportive influence. Complete required administrative tasks, including daily and monthly activity reports, mileage logs, and other documentation in a timely manner. Participate in all required meetings, including agency, staff, program, supervision, and other meetings as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor. Maintain confidentiality at all times and across all levels of work. Perform related duties as assigned. Provide administrative support to the program, maintaining consistent and ongoing communication with the assigned Supervisor. EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTSHigh school, plus additional courses or specialized training at business or community college, or other formal training facility or program. Requires ability to understand and carry out assigned duties effectively. Knowledge needed such as stenography, office routines, elementary accounting procedures; operation of equipment such as bookkeeping and billing machines, tabulating equipment, transcription machines.Other (Specify):Required: Ability to communicate and work effectively with people of diverse social, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. Valid Driver’s license Current no fault insurance Access to an insured vehicle Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work with youth in different age groups. Preferred Experience: Experience with public presentations, working flexible hours and ability to handle stressful hours. Preferred Knowledge: Awareness of issues related to sexual assault and domestic violence, and experience in these areas. Issues related to adult and children’s health/safety. Effective documentation practices, communication, and knowledge of community resources. - Bachelor’s degree in health or human services preferred but not required.
