Electrical Technician II

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and wire custom and standard electrical control assemblies (PLC cabinets, HMI enclosures, etc.) using engineering drawings.
- Mount, wire, and integrate motors, sensors, controllers, and other components into automated systems.
- Complete system-wide power and control wiring, including transformers and power distribution elements.
- Review and communicate design changes with the Controls Design team and Supervisors.
- Support Machine Project Leaders (MPLs) during system setup and cycling to ensure equipment functions flawlessly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical hardware issues; assist programmers with device configuration and testing.
- Mentor and support Electrical Technician 1 team members.
- Collaborate with Standards teams on wiring for standard equipment.
- Travel to customer sites to support equipment installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Complete ISO‑compliant documentation, Manufacturing Quality Plans (MQPs), and checklists with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Apply 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices in daily work.
- Support mechanical assembly tasks when needed to keep production on track.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of hands-on electrical assembly and wiring experience in a manufacturing or automation environment.
- Associate degree in an electrical field or equivalent experience.
- Proven proficiency in all entry level Electrical Technician responsibilities.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering documents.
- Comfort working with BOMs, change forms, and basic purchasing processes.
- Physical ability to perform hands-on shop work (standing, kneeling, climbing, lifting 25–50 lbs., etc.).
- Commitment to safety and proper PPE use.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
