Coach, Softball at The J – Overland Park, Kansas

The J is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Softball Coach.

Our coaches will provide instruction and impart their knowledge of the game to young players ages 12-14. The J’s Softball instructional program emphasizes skill development, self-discipline and safety and teaches the value of good sportsmanship. Experience as a coach/player is preferred.

Schedule

We are hiring reliable part-time staff to assist with training sessions and practices on weeknights and weekends.

Essential Functions

• Lead softball drills at practices and coach in games for ages 12-14
• Help set up and tear down equipment
• Supervise children ages 12 to 14 years old
• Clear and timely communication with parents

• Experience working with children preferred
• Experience as a coach/player is preferred
• Knowledge of baseball and its rules
• Able to work a flexible schedule
• Must have reliable transportation
