Position Overview

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring a consistent and timely supply of clean, high-quality linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry to support hotel operations and guest satisfaction. This role performs all stages of laundry processing while maintaining safety, efficiency, and quality standards within the laundry facility.

What You'll Do

Laundry Processing & Production

• Perform all stages of linen processing, including:
• Sorting soiled linens, towels, and uniforms by type, color, and fabric.
• Inspecting items for stains or damage and applying appropriate stain removal or repair procedures.
• Operating commercial washing, drying, and pressing equipment, including proper chemical usage and cycle selection.
• Folding, stacking, and organizing all cleaned linens and uniforms according to hotel standards.
• Ensure all processed items are clean, wrinkle-free, and in good repair before returning them to circulation.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the laundry facility.
• Perform routine cleaning of equipment such as lint trap removal and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain inventory levels of clean and soiled linens, chemicals, and supplies, reporting shortages as needed.
• Assist in monthly or periodic laundry inventories.
• Perform additional duties as assigned; reliable attendance is an essential function of the role.

What You'll Bring

Required Skills and Abilities

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull heavy loads of wet or dry laundry (20–50 lbs.).
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet daily production deadlines.
• Ability to respond quickly to unexpected issues such as stains, machine malfunctions, or urgent guest needs.
• Effective communication and collaboration with housekeeping, front desk, and management teams.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents, laundry chemicals, and the operation of commercial laundry equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Prior hospitality or laundry facility experience preferred.

Other Qualifications

• Must be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and quality driven.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage and oversee one's own work.
• Ability to follow all company safety policies and procedures while working in a fast-paced environment.
