Description:

PromptCare is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, provide direct supervision of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, and ensure the safe, accurate, and compliant delivery of pharmacy services. This role focuses on team leadership, coaching, workflow optimization, and regulatory compliance while supporting high-quality patient care.

The Pharmacy Supervisor may serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) as needed, in accordance with state licensing requirements. This role requires participation in a rotating on-call and weekend schedule (approximately every 4–5 weeks and as required to ensure pharmacy coverage).

Job Type: Full-time

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
  • Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in applicable state(s)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of pharmacy experience required (home infusion or hospital preferred)
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of infusion therapies preferred
  • Experience with inventory management and pharmacy operations
  • Proficiency in pharmacokinetics and accurate dosing calculations
  • Knowledge of CPR+ or similar pharmacy software preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:

  • Supervise, coach, and support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations including workflow, dispensing, and verification
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Serve as a resource for clinical and operational questions
  • Assist with staffing and scheduling
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching
  • Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
  • Assist with inventory control and purchasing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for patient care
  • Support audit readiness and inspections
  • Assist with reporting and operational metrics
  • Serve as PIC when designated
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
