TO Live is seeking a talented and motivated Graphic Designer to join our Marketing & Communications team in this full-time role.


As one of Canada’s largest multi-arts organizations, TO Live operates three iconic Toronto venues, Meridian Hall, St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, and Meridian Arts Centre, and plays a vital role in bringing world-class performances to the city.


In this role, you’ll work behind the scenes of extraordinary artistic experiences, collaborate with artists and cultural leaders, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the performing arts sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a designer who is passionate about the arts and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.


The ideal candidate has a strong eye for visual storytelling and a deep appreciation for brand consistency. You bring creativity, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to your design work, and you’re comfortable collaborating with diverse internal stakeholders. You understand how design supports organizational goals and can translate complex ideas into compelling, accessible visuals across multiple platforms.


Key Responsibilities

Design high-quality print and digital marketing assets in alignment with TO Live’s brand guidelines.Create visual assets for websites, email campaigns, digital and print ads, social media, outdoor media, and digital signage.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop visual narratives that clearly and effectively communicate key messages.Ensure consistent brand expression across all channels and touchpoints.Work closely with a wide range of teams, including executive leadership, philanthropy, corporate sales, and marketing colleagues.Edit and prepare imagery, including colour correction, retouching, and cropping to maintain a cohesive visual style across platforms.Manage creative assets and support the development of internal file organization standards.Assist the marketing team with digital signage scheduling and management using Spinetix.Participate in concept development and iterative design processes under tight deadlines.


Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.1 – 3 years of professional graphic design experience, either in-house or agency-side, with a focus on digital design.Strong foundation in design principles, including typography, layout, composition, colour, and visual hierarchy.Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.Demonstrated experience with photo editing and retouching.Nice to have, digital animation skills (After Effects, Blender) Understanding of UI/UX principles, web standards, and image optimization for digital platforms.Proficiency in illustration and/or animation is considered an asset.Strong communication and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly explain design decisions.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects with changing priorities.Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and agile, deadline-driven environments.Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.


Working Conditions

Flexibility in hours and schedules and include work on nights, statutory holidays and weekends as required.Lack of natural light in workplace.Travel between TO Live venues as required
